Position: Chairman

Chris joined the Royal Navy from school and served in submarines. In 1975 he joined the off-shore oil industry operating manned and unmanned submersibles in the North Sea. Chris moved to Wiltshire in 1988 and co-founded Venues Event Management (originally trading as Venues Unlimited) with wife Anita.

Chris now oversees the procurement and supplier relations, systems and IT departments. This includes the development of Venues Event Management's bespoke in-house booking system ‘Eclipse’ - a system that puts all others in the shade.

As well as his above role, Chris has many interests outside of Venues Event Management. His hobbies include cars, and collecting memorabilia. Amongst his collection is one of only 5 original deckchairs from the Titanic (see below) and an original Dalek from Doctor Who!

Chris is also a member of the Seabiscuit Heritage Foundation and in 2007 donated a life size bronze statue of ‘the legendary racehorse’ to the Foundation at Ridgewood Ranch, home of Seabiscuit, near Willits, N. California.
