Position: Operations and HR Director
Born in Stroud, Kate graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 1996 with a BA (Hons) in Hotel and Catering Management. As part of her degree, Kate spent a year in Sydney, Australia as a trainee manager in a hotel.
Kate went on to work for Thistle Hotels in Cheltenham and then spent three years at Eynsham Hall as Assistant Front of House and Duty Manager.
In 1999 Kate left Eynsham Hall for a role as Area Manager, covering Gloucestershire and Wiltshire for a training company delivering NVQs within the hospitality and service disciplines.
Kate joined Venues Event Management in 2002 as Business Unit Manager. She soon moved on to become Operations Manager and then again to her current role of Operations and HR Director. Kate’s role is huge, heading up all the operational client teams as well as assisting in tenders and overseeing the HR function.
In addition to all of this, somehow Kate found time to complete her CIPD qualification in 2004.
