Euro 2008 may have been a wash out for British football fans, but one Swindon based event management company is still flying the flag with the help of a global client.

Venues Event Management, specialists in event management, conference placement and accommodation services recently organised a cultural trip to Munich for delegates from the Russian office of a global lubricants company. The fifty delegates arrived at the luxury Sofitel Munich Bayerpost earlier this month and were treated to authentic German food and entertainments in the evening. The next day, the delegates attended a distributor conference before travelling to Innsbruck in Austria so they could attend the Euro 2008 Russia versus Spain football match.

Keeping within the sports theme, a larger group including Ukrainians as well as Russians travelled back to Munich for a meal at the Olympic Tower in the Olympic Village.

It was a complicated event with many different elements, but we are used to organising events all over the world. International experience is essential when dealing with large multinational clients.

Events specialist Alisdair Ross added:

All of the delegates found the trip valuable and enjoyable. It’s a great opportunity for our clients to network and enjoy a bit of the footy as well!
