With all the recent coverage in the press about the economic downturn, all businesses are looking at how they can reduce costs. Swindon based Venues Event Management are no different, but they wanted more than just cost savings.
Venues Event Management, an agency specialising in event management, conference placement and accommodation booking, has always been at the forefront when implementing environmentally friendly initiatives. Their latest is the replacement of all their company vehicles with the frugal low CO2 emitting new Skoda Fabia.
Several different car makes were researched, but the Fabia came out on top for fuel economy, emissions and value for money. They were however still spacious enough for logistical requirements.
Chris Lowe, Chairman comments:
“This is one of many green initiatives we have introduced over the years. These include; printing all stationary on FSC paper, recycling all plastic, paper and aluminium, environmentally friendly corporate gifts and car sharing. Our new cars do an additional 18 miles to the gallon and emit 30g less CO2 per Kilometre. As well as their green credentials, our new cars save us money, which at this moment in time is very important to us, as it is to all businesses.”
