Venues Event Management is delighted to announce the return of Katherine Lewis to the role of Client Development Manager. This new appointment further strengthens the agency’s sales team as the company continues to focus on client relationship management.

This is a welcome return to the agency for Katherine who re-joins the company after a career break travelling around South East Asia. As well as previously working for Venues Event Management, Katherine has extensive experience in the hospitality and marketing industries.

Whilst studying at Southampton University for a BA (Hons) in Marketing, Katherine worked at the DeVere Grand Harbour in operational and sales roles. After graduating, Katherine moved back to her native Wiltshire to manage a restaurant.

Venues Event Management’s Chief Executive Anita Lowe regularly visited the restaurant and spotted Katherine’s potential immediately. She offered Katherine a job as Client Coordinator, a role that quickly blossomed into Event Manager looking after key accounts which included BP, Mercedes-Benz and MAN Truck and Bus.

After four years, Katherine decided to broaden her work experience and moved to a full service marketing agency in London. After two years, she decided that now was the time to complete her life long ambition to travel to South East Asia.

As luck would have it, Katherine’s return to the UK six months later coincided with Venues Event Management needing to recruit a Client Development Manager. The rest as they say, is history!

Katherine commented:

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return to Venues Event Management and be able to work on key accounts such as WH Smith, Balfour Beatty, St James’s Place and Openwork. Having previous experience in operational roles has provided me with an excellent understanding of what clients want from an agency. I intend to develop a number of new contacts in my existing accounts and provide that vital link between the operational team and the client. These are challenging times, and I am certainly up for that challenge.”
