Venues Event Management is continuing to expand its sales team with the recent appointment of Bernadette Cobb as Client Development Manager. Continuing their drive to develop business in existing clients, Bernadette brings with her a strong hospitality sales background, perfectly preparing her for this new role.
After studying IT and Business Administration at Swindon College, Bernadette began her career in secretarial, administrative and PA roles for high profile companies including NPower and Zimmer.
After several years, Bernadette wanted to make the move into sales and gained her first sales role working for first aid supplier, Wallace Cameron. Bernadette excelled in this role and the experience provided the stepping stone to move into the exciting world of hospitality sales. In 2006 she landed the role of Sales Manager at Principal Hayley venue (formerly Hayley Conference Centre), Alexandra House in Wroughton, Wiltshire. In this role Bernadette looked after a number of high profile accounts including; Honda, Nationwide, Intel and Arval.
In 2008, Bernadette moved to The Liddington, near Swindon in the role of Business Development Manager. During her time she grew business considerably working with accounts that included; RWE and Smiths News.
Bernadette commented:
