Venues Event Management recently organised a family activity day at Wokefield Park, a De Vere Venue near Reading. Working with preferred team building partner Blue Hat UK, the objective of the day was to entertain clients and their families in order for them to relax in a non-corporate environment.
The brain child behind the event was to give Venues Event Management’s clients the opportunity to experience what they as an organisation can offer but allowing them to enjoy it with their families.
Held in the picturesque grounds of Wokefield Park, the day was packed with activities. The younger attendees enjoyed a number of activities including a surf board simulator, bucking rugby ball, build a dinosaur challenge, stalls with various games including a coconut shy, educational challenges and arts and crafts. The adults however were not left out. They could ride with their families on a steam trailer and join in with the crazy golf. If that wasn’t enough however, they had the opportunity to play real golf on the venues US PGA-standard 7,000 yard championship golf course.
To ensure everyone was well fed, all the guests were treated to a traditional BBQ prepared by the expert chefs at Wokefield Park.
Judging by the feedback from the event, it was a huge success. Sue Frye, Events Manager at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, commented:
"Thank you for the great afternoon at Wokefield Park. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed way to spend a Sunday. My boys loved it too, although I am still trying to figure out what to do with three coconuts!"
